Ginnifer Goodwin's Sandals Stole the Limelight at the Calvin Klein Party

!: Ginnifer Goodwin's Sandals Stole the Limelight at the Calvin Klein Party

Ginnifer Goodwin got some negative comments about the dress she wore at the Calvin Klein collection & Los Angeles Nomadic branch (Land) first yearly bash for the L.A. Arts Monthly and Art Los Angeles modern last January 28, 2010. Basically it was criticized for being way too big, though it may seem hard to dream that something does not look nice when Ginnifer Goodwin is wearing it.

The 31-year-old actress was born in Memphis, Tennessee. Her father owned and operated a recording studio, so you can say that she has never been very far away from the world of entertainment. While she first starred in the television programs Law & Order and Ed, possibly her main source of fame are the movies Mona Lisa Smile and He's Just Not That into You. However, we should not forget the Hbo series Big Love, where she is currently in a important role as Margene Heffman.

At the Calvin Klein Party, the puffed sheer sleeves and the ruching on the front of the dress overwhelmed Ginnifer Goodwin's relatively tiny frame. Even if the dress was in her size, the long necklace she chose to accessorize with did not compliment the dress and instead only drew attention towards the floor.

However, there was one big plus about the outfit the young actress had chosen that evening, and it is a big one. Ginnifer Goodwin's gorgeous satin peep toe booties indubitably stole the show. Basically they were like the gladiator sandal's grown up sister. It is well known that the actress is over her tomboy phase in terms of fashion, and Ms. Goodwin is often seen wearing cashmere, silk, and satin clothes. No one would argue that she should not be allowed to wear 3-inch heels, stay out late, and get away with wearing revealing clothing. We welcome that she is ready to flaunt her feminine side.

Ginnifer's shoes for the evening were Aldo Mickolick Pumps. While expensive, luckily there are cheaper versions out there that look roughly as luxurious. If the American actress can find a best dress to match the sandals with next time, we will be even more excited.

Types of Shoes For Women

!: Types of Shoes For Women

There are many types of women's shoes and here are the names and descriptions of many base and not so base types.

Pumps -- These are shoes where the foot is supported all nearby the shoe front, back and on both sides and can have an ankle strap. The sole is a one piece type with a heel of any size with a high heel pump often called a stiletto.

Open toe shoe -- This is basically a pump shoe as described above where the front is cut away to expose all of the toes. When this is done to only expose the big toe or middle toes using a smaller cutaway it would be referred to as a peep hole shoe.

Wedge Shoe -- This is any type of heeled footwear where the there is no gap below the sole meaning the full length of the base of the shoe makes feel with the ground.

Mule -- This type of shoe is one which has a heel but has no keep nearby the ankle and rear of the shoe or someone else way to report it is as a heeled flip flop. These can be fully concluded at the front or cut away as an open toe or peep hole shoe.

Mary Jane -- This can be a flat or heeled shoe which like a pump encloses the foot all the way nearby it. The front of this shoe will be square or very slightly rounded with a cross strap running across the foot central between the ankle and toes.

Boots -- These are shoes which fully enclose the foot and can come in flat, wedge and heeled styles. There are assorted types with the shortest being the Ankle high boot which reaches just above the ankle then it's the Knee high boot which stops just before reaching the knee and the Thigh high which covers the leg all the way to the thigh. Two lesser known boots are the crotch boots which reach all the way up the leg to the crotch and the Chap boot which is a modified crotch boot which has a piece of material which reaches over the hips and secured nearby the waist with a belt.

Sandals -- These are where the sole of shoe can be flat, wedged or heeled and the upper part is made up of straps which can be arranged in any form to obtain the shoe. This means that the toes and most of the sides and top are uncovered and the straps can even go up the leg towards the knee and this type of sandal is often called a gladiator sandal. Birkenstock sandal footwear are the favorite flat women's sandals often called papillio sandals as they are made under license.

Oxford -- This is the name given to a shoe which encloses the foot and is laced up along the top this can be a flat, heeled or wedge styled shoe.

D'Orsay -- This is a shoe which has no sides, but has a keep at the heel area and the toes are covered this can be with or without an ankle strap.

Platform -- this is a shoe which has a multiple layered sole to elevate the wearer.
