The original title was Trionfo di Maciste or The Triumph of Maciste. Personally, this is not one of my favorite S&S. There's so much going against it, including the length of it. I've edited down to 1 hour, which makes it move faster and there's less of the boring stuff and more of Kirk Morris, who's really the best thing about this film. The original version was also badly edited (the ending has a major continuity error which I'll mention in part 6) and the dialogue or dubbing is pretty bad. But enough with the criticism, all is cool as Kirk (or Adriano) really looks great here, certainly with the sepia tone of the image (not the original color. It used to be in full color). And there are some pretty cool scenes, including Maciste being pulled by two horses, which is definitely the highlight of this film. Of all the actors that appeared in S&S films, Kirk Morris' physique is probably the most contemporary looking one. He could easily be a Calvin Klein model.
